Goal:
To integrate, in a holistic manner, remedial educational methods
into the educational and teaching work
Musical / Dance / Art Therapy / Relaxation Techniques
The holistic remedial education has been specifically developed
for
Children on the Edge of the Norm.
The seminar focuses on how to manage anxiety, aggression, concentration
problems, and hyperactivity.
Course participants should be able to implement, in an interdisciplinary
manner, holistic and creative educational working methods, which
take into account distinct regional features. The course participant
should also be in a position to help the children in his or her
care compensate and reduce their obvious behavioural problems and
strengthen their self-esteem.

- Art school teachers
- Ballet or dancing school teachers
- Interested people over the age of 18
Duration:
On-going training course for 8 months, comprising approx. 200 lessons
(of 45 minutes each) over 8 weekends

Certificate:
Diploma in Further Remedial Educational Training or Certificate
of Attendance
Seminar Topics:
- Musical Therapy:
Fundamentals, cause and effect, modes of operation of music on
the system, the soul Improvisation, arrangement, accompaniment,
communication games, aggression games Ergotropic and thropotropic
- two therapeutic options This subject can be expanded by therapeutical
dance topics.
Art
Therapy:
Overview, origin, forms, fields of application, practicing by
oneself, experience with various creative materials, handling
of "finished" products, practical relevance to the work with children
Relaxation
Techniques:
Unity of the body - relaxation techniques, soul - chanelling discussion,
mind - cognitive behavioural modification Relaxation techniques
for children and adolescents with behavioural problems Body-related
exercises to reduce aggression and anxiety in cases of hyperactivity
Conversational techniques to help in the work with parents Prevention
and intervention are pivotal points.
Working Methods Employed:
in the course: plenary sessions, work in small groups, individual
work, literature
at home: study of literature, keeping an educational diary
Requirements for Admission to the Diploma Examination:
- Completed training in education, teaching, therapy or medicine
- or work at a music, art or ballet school
- Every week you have the opportunity to translate learned topics
into practice. Unless you are already working in a teaching sector,
you must work in a corresponding facility for at least one hour
as practical training, and unpaid, as required.
- Participation in all seminar activities
- Delivery of the seminar paper in due course
- Delivery of at least five reports of your practical tests, in
each of the four major subjects
- Payment of the seminar and examination fees when due
Examination:
The examination consists of three parts, each in a different subject.
- Seminar paper
- Practical teaching session with participants
- Colloquium
The candidate may assign the subjects to the individual parts of
the examination. The candidate may deselect one subject.
